As per usual music has been my saving grace during the festive season and is continuing to inspire me well into 2017’s second month. I’ve revisited some fashion inspired soundtracks after watching and rewatching the Sex and the City movies on Mnet’s movie channels. I fell in love with acoustic versions and those who sing them. I’ve made and remade more playlists that I can count, trying to craft a golden thread through the black and white markings of songs. I’ve been carefully compiling songs to compliment exciting moments like
going to driving past the gym or partying sleeping on New Year’s Eve. I’d like to think of this as the ever expanding soundtrack of my life. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I do.

One To Watch: Grace VanderWaal
Even though I think the *insert country’s name here* Got Talent series is one of the tv shows designed to showcase the deterioration of human beings- Grace VanderWaal is the real deal and ironically more talented than most of her contemporaries. VanderWaal’s EP showcases her old musical soul and actual talent, which is a rare find in today’s auto-tuned driven millennial music industry. The EP includes her viral hit “I Don’t Know My Name” which set the internet alight as Simon Cowell dubbed her the next Taylor Swift as well as my personal favourite Gossip Girl (which you can listen to by clicking on the song in the above playlist). I’m very excited to see what this raspy-voiced, raw and real young artist does next.
